Software Engineer Β· Full-Stack Developer Β· AI/ML Builder
Computer Science student focused on web and application development, with a particular interest in integrating AI/ML into real-world systems. I build with Python, HTML, CSS, and Java, grounded in solid database design and object-oriented system analysis β aiming for solutions that are practical, scalable, and hold up beyond the first demo.
I'm comfortable moving across the stack β from schema design to REST APIs to deployment, and provisioning real cloud infrastructure (OCI: VCN, managed PostgreSQL, compute instances). I've put that into practice building and shipping my AI Hiring Platform (FastAPI + Streamlit + PostgreSQL), hardened with rate limiting, input sanitization, and secure authentication.

π Based in Kenya, open to remote and on-site opportunities
-
π Computer Science student, currently taking Advanced Database Systems and Object-Oriented System Analysis & Design
-
π One example of that in practice: my AI Hiring Platform, a full-stack app (FastAPI + Streamlit + PostgreSQL) with production-grade security like rate limiting and input sanitization
-
βοΈ Hands-on with cloud infrastructure β provisioned a full Oracle Cloud environment (VCN, managed PostgreSQL, compute instance) end to end for a database systems project
-
ποΈ Comfortable across the stack: relational schema design, REST API development, deployment pipelines, and debugging real production issues (auth flows, uptime monitoring, migration headaches)
-
π€ Open to internships and collaboration on real-world projects β I like problems with actual constraints, not just tutorials
-
π¬ Happy to talk through anything from database design to deployment troubleshooting
Exploring how machine intelligence is reshaping the way we build software β from data pipelines to intelligent decision-making systems.
AI Hiring Platform β a full-stack recruitment app that uses AI to help streamline hiring decisions.
- βοΈ Backend: FastAPI, deployed on Render
- π¨ Frontend: Streamlit, deployed on Streamlit Cloud
- ποΈ Database: PostgreSQL on Supabase
- π Hardened with rate limiting, input sanitization, secure password handling, and environment-based secrets management
βοΈ How to enable the 3D contribution calendar (one-time setup)
This feature runs automatically once a day via GitHub Actions β you don't touch it again after setup. It uses the default GitHub token, so no separate access token or repo secret is needed.
- In your
Allankw-dev/Allankw-devprofile repo, create the folder.github/workflows/if it doesn't already exist. - Add the file
metrics.yml(provided alongside this README β just drop it in as-is, replacing the old one if present). - Commit and push. Go to the Actions tab of your repo and manually run the workflow once (
βΆοΈ "Run workflow") so the first SVG gets generated β after that, it runs on its own schedule. - That's it β the 3D contribution calendar image URL in this README will start rendering automatically.
